Are you ready to dive-in to the OpenSciEd high school materials? Are you hoping to build internal capacity to support teachers in your network? Join us for the virtual OpenSciEd High School Curriculum Launch! You’ll leave with everything you need to get started, including a comprehensive understanding of the OpenSciEd high school curriculum, how to implement it in your classroom, and how to facilitate the professional learning for other educators (if attending the facilitator sessions). The developers of the OpenSciEd curriculum are excited to give you the tools and professional learning needed to help you make OpenSciEd high school come alive in your classroom, school district, or other context.

During these sessions, you will immerse yourself in teaching and learning best practices to help you build science learning experiences anchored in compelling phenomena and in important community and global problems. You will engage in lessons as a ‘student’, reflect as a teacher, and become an expert in navigating the resources embedded in the OpenSciEd materials so you can maximize your impact on student engagement and learning. Majority of the four days will be spent diving into the first unit in the OpenSciEd Biology course.
