Elementary School Science Development Consortium

Northwestern University will lead a developers consortium – including BSCS Science Learning, Carolina Biological Supply Company, Horizon Research, Inc., Michigan State University, Oakland University, and The University of Texas at Austin – to create, field test, revise, and publicly release units from 2022-2026. The consortium will also provide professional learning opportunities and open source resources to address the pressing needs of elementary teachers and support their effective implementation of the science materials. 

Middle School Science Development Consortium

A consortium of world-class curriculum developers completed the middle school classroom materials and associated professional learning materials. The Developers Consortium drew from experts in the fields of science education, curriculum design, learning sciences, professional learning, and data analysis, ensuring that the materials are effective in the classroom. All OpenSciEd units were reviewed by NextGenScience’s Peer Review Panel using the EQuIP Rubric at two points in the unit development process, during the field test and before the public release of the units. High School Science Development Consortium

A consortium of world-class curriculum developers is completing the high school classroom materials and associated professional learning materials. The Developers Consortium draws from experts in the fields of science education, curriculum design, learning sciences, professional learning, and data analysis, ensuring that the materials are effective in the classroom. The Consortium was selected through a competitive process involving many stakeholders.
